For over 60 years the name Ahlmann has stood for innovative swing shovel loader technology. In 1952 the first Swing Shovel Loader was developed and mass-produced by Ahlmann.
Mecalac Baumaschinen GmbH (formerly Ahlmann Baumaschinen GmbH). In the sixties Ahlmann was the first company to manufacture shovel loaders with power-regulated hydrostatic drive. And today Ahlmann still stands for innovative product ideas, low-noise and low-exhaust, but also ecological products.
Ahlmann Baumaschinen has been certified in accordance with ISO 9001 since 1996. Employee training is an essential part of the quality offensive in satisfying the high quality requirements of the buyers. Ahlmann Baumaschinen has its office in Büdelsdorf (Germany), a stone’s throw from Rendsburg, close to the port city of Kiel. In 2002 Ahlmann Baumaschinen has been taken over by Mecalac sa from Annecy (France).
As of 1 January 2012 the name of the factory in Rendsburg is changed to Mecalac Baumaschinen GmbH.
The Groupe MECALAC S.A. is based in Annecy-le-Vieux (France) and offers a wide range of innovative compact construction equipment for today’s urban- railway and utility construction sites.
Mecalac has a leading position with Mobile Excavators in France and is the world’s number one in Swing Shovel Loaders.
Since 2002 Mecalac has owned 100% of Ahlmann Baumaschinen in Büdelsdorf.
