Ahlmann AS1000

Willem began his career at Stehouwer Infra as a paver, with a paving hammer in hand. He now works as an operator behind the wheel of the Ahlmann AS1000. Because of this, he knows better than anyone what goes on at street level and what a machine really needs to be capable of.

One machine, endless applications

What sets the Ahlmann AS1000 apart is its versatility. A shovel is good at moving its load, but an Ahlmann can be used for all kinds of jobs. That’s exactly what makes the Ahlmann so powerful.
Instead of needing a mini-excavator for tasks that a front-end loader can’t handle, this skid-steer loader does it all. That saves time, boosts efficiency, and makes the machine indispensable in infrastructure projects where space is limited. Willem explains it best himself: “Hauling in stone piles, hauling in tires, creating a rubble path, moving sand. And then positioning the bucket at a right angle to the curb to finish the edges. I sometimes wonder: how could you possibly do this with a regular shovel?”  

Compact, powerful, and agile

The AS1000 is a 6.6-metric-ton swing loader, less than 2 meters wide, equipped as standard with 4-wheel steering, additional features, and a load compensator. It is precisely this combination that makes it ideal for infrastructure projects where space is limited. With a tipping load of 3,600 kg across the entire 180° swing range, it’s powerful enough to move heavy materials wherever you need them.
