The 24-hour Solexrace Festival in Heeswijk-Dinther has been a household name in Brabant for years. Besides the famous solex race, the weekend revolves around spectacle, music and especially the Brascross-a muddy battle with self-made vehicles in the most creative and bizarre forms. In the Incredibly Heavy Snevelbok class it's big, loud and unpolished-and that's where we as a team ZWENKEND UUT DE BOCHTE feel completely at home.
Our Ahlmann team competed in both 2023 and 2024 with quite a bit of guts and, of course, engineering.
The AZ150 was converted into MADMANN in 2023, and into a fairground attraction - or rather Turbo-driven Carousel - in 2024. The public thoroughly enjoyed it, and we perhaps even more so.
In 2025 we went one step further: the machine was converted into a real Takel and Lightning McQueen combination. And that turned out to be no crazy move - after a wonderful 2nd place in 2024, we dragged in 1st place in 2025!
The run-up to the festival is at least as enjoyable as the weekend itself. For three years now we have been tinkering, welding and building our Brascross machine every Wednesday evening with a group of enthusiastic colleagues. Welding cap on, music on and Dutch pot together.
