Our electric construction machines have been completely redesigned from the ground up. No conversions of existing technology, which means no compromises. What makes these machines unique is that, apart from the special color and decals, they are visually indistinguishable from the fuel-powered versions. For the operator, nothing changes in terms of visibility or machine functionality.

Mobile machines are constantly on the move, which naturally requires a lot of energy. In our E-series, the traditional hydrostatic system has been replaced by a fully electric drive motor, mounted directly on the gearbox. This ensures minimal energy loss in transmission and that every kilowatt-hour is used to its full potential.

Public authorities and clients are increasingly demanding zero-emission operation. As a result, more and more contractors working on government projects are switching to electric excavators, wheeled excavators, and wheel loaders. Emission regulations are becoming increasingly strict. According to the Clean and Zero-Emission Construction Roadmap, by 2030 no public tenders will be issued for diesel machines under 56 kW. By investing in an electric machine now, you’ll already be prepared for the future. In addition to reducing emissions, working with an electric construction machine is both pleasant and safe. The operator can stay alert to surrounding sounds and communicate easily with ground workers during operation.

Mecalac’s electric construction machines have been entirely newly developed and designed from the ground up. And when it comes to performance and driving experience, an electric Ahlmann or Mecalac machine easily matches its diesel counterpart. Thanks to the powerful electric motors, there is always ample torque available for demanding work.

The battery range of Mecalac and Ahlmann’s electric models is designed to last for a full working day. In practice, this means you can work for up to eight hours on a full charge, depending on the intensity of the job and the use of hydraulic functions. For lighter tasks, the battery often lasts even longer, while during continuous heavy work or when covering longer distances, intermediate charging via a mobile battery box can be a smart solution. Thanks to the factory-installed battery system from Mecalac and Ahlmann, you can rely on consistent performance and predictable operating time, so you always know exactly what to expect on the job.

The investment in an electric excavator becomes much more attractive thanks to various subsidies and tax incentive programs. These can significantly reduce the purchase costs and make the transition to zero-emission operation financially more feasible. • SSEB Purchase Scheme (Subsidy for Clean and Zero-Emission Construction): For the purchase of a zero-emission construction machine. In 2025, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are eligible for a 19% subsidy on the price difference compared to the diesel version.
• MIA Scheme (Environmental Investment Deduction): Provides tax benefits for investments in sustainable business assets. In 2025, under code E 3413, this offers a gross tax advantage of 27% (net 9%) on the purchase value of a zero-emission construction machine.
