You ensure that both the customer and the machine can keep moving forward
A customer calls because he needs a part. Sometimes he knows exactly which part. Sometimes the search only begins with his question. You dive into the parts catalog, offer technical advice, and make sure the right part is found, ordered, or set aside. We have virtually all parts in stock, so working in the warehouse is a pleasure.
As a counter clerk in our warehouse, you are therefore much more than just someone who dispenses parts. You are the point of contact for our customers and combine customer service with technical knowledge and practical insight.
Does that sound like you? Then get to know Ahlmann.
Your workday revolves around customers and technology
You'll be working on the customer-facing side of our warehouse. Requests come in by phone, email, or directly at the counter. It's your job to figure out exactly what the customer needs.
To do this, you’ll work with our parts manuals and technical information, among other resources. You don’t need to know every part by heart. What’s more important is that you have technical insight, are a good listener, and enjoy figuring things out.
Your responsibilities will include, for example:
- Assist customers by phone, email, and in person
- determine which part a customer needs
- Working with parts catalogs and technical information
Processing parts and orders - ensure that parts are ready or are shipped
- stay in touch with customers about their orders
- Work with your coworkers to ensure the warehouse runs smoothly
The result? The customer can continue working, and the machine keeps running.
Not an anonymous warehouse,
but a small team
You'll be joining a small warehouse team. Rudolf manages the warehouse. You'll also be working alongside Rob and Joey. Erik mainly handles parts for our own workshop and steps in when needed.
That means short lines of communication. You know each other, help each other, and are in the loop. And because the team is small, your contribution really makes a difference.
We're looking for someone who will be a good fit for this role. Are you interested in technology, do you have a knack for digital systems, and do you enjoy helping customers? If so, we'd love to meet you.
Our warehouse is becoming increasingly digitized.
Will you grow with us?
At Ahlmann, too, technology is constantly evolving. This applies not only to our machines but also to the way we make our parts available.
We are working on further digitizing the ordering process. In the future, customers should be able to find and order their parts more and more easily on their own through our online store, using the digital parts catalog. That’s why we’re not just looking for someone to work in today’s warehouse. We’re also looking for a colleague who enjoys growing alongside the warehouse of tomorrow.
Are you tech-savvy and do you see opportunities to do things smarter or more easily? If so, we have a place for you here.
Technical knowledge is great.
An interest in technology is more important.
You don't have to be a mechanic for this job. But when someone talks about a machine, a part, or a technical drawing, it should spark your curiosity.
You’ll learn a lot on the job from your coworkers and from the questions that come in every day. At Ahlmann, you’ll have the opportunity to further your professional development. Wherever it’s necessary for your work, we’ll work with you to find appropriate training or practical courses, such as a forklift operator course.
This is a good fit for you if you:
- enjoy interacting with customers
- have an interest in or understanding of technology
- works accurately
- is comfortable working with computers and digital systems
- enjoys researching things and finding solutions
- can work independently, but also want to be part of a small team
- you can get by in German or are willing to improve your German skills
Working at a family-owned business
where technology never stands still
Ahlmann Nederland has been a family-owned business for more than 50 years. From our location in Ammerzoden, we supply, maintain, repair, and build multifunctional earthmoving machines from Ahlmann, Mecalac, and our own brand, GreenJob.
Our machines are used by road builders, tree nurseries, landscape managers, and farmers, among others. No two machines or customer requests are the same. We regularly customize machines in our own workshop to meet very specific customer needs. These are technical challenges that require a great deal of expertise and teamwork to solve. The passion for technology that this entails is evident throughout the entire company—including in the warehouse.
At Ahlmann, it’s not just about machines. We believe it’s just as important that you feel at home at our company. We care about each other, have open lines of communication, and know our colleagues well.
We're a team even outside of work
Working at Ahlmann means you can become part of our Ahlmann family. Our active employee association organizes social gatherings and an annual group outing, among other things.
To give you an idea, we've included news articles below about our most recent staff activities. Just a little different, just a little more fun. Nothing is a must. There are so many possibilities. Just as you'd expect from a family-owned business.
